DNA Sequencing Sample Submission
dnaTools
We utilize lims software called dnaTools which allows for on-line access to data as well as convenient sample submission and tracking. All customers will be asked to submit their sample information and will retrieve their sequencing results through the new dnaTools website (http://dnalims.colostate.edu). If you do not have an existing account you will need to create one by choosing “create login for dnaTools”. We will be glad to assist any new clients with account setup or any other inquiries. Contact Jason Rivest at (970) 491-3590.
Sample Drop-off
Samples for DNA sequencing may be submitted for analysis in the refrigerator located in the hallway outside of our facility in the Microbiology building room C110. It is important that the tubes are labeled using the same sample names entered into dnaTools. Samples should be placed in a bag and clearly labeled with the customer name. Bags are available in the sample refrigerator.
Shipping Samples
For off-campus customers we ask that you ship your DNA sequencing samples inside bubble wrap or a 50 ml falcon tube. The carriers can be rather hard on the envelopes and will crush unprotected eppendorf tubes. We have a direct Fedex drop off center here at Macromolecular Resources, the address is:
